The Knights, who opened the regular season with back-to-back 4-1 wins over the Fredericton Caps and Kensington Wild on Nov. 6 and 7, led 1-0 after the first period and took a 2-1 advantage into the second intermission.

Winning goaltender Jack Howatt turned in a 19-save effort while Xavier Farrah stopped 30 of 33 shots in the Moncton goal.

The Knights will hold a league showcase at MacLauchlan on Nov. 21 and 22 where all of the six teams will play two games. Charlottetown’s first game is against Moncton on Nov. 21 at noon.
